Scoring

The PSYC’s Scoring System is as follows:

 1. Points per race are awarded based on finishing position. If a boat finishes first she will receive one point; if a boat finishes tenth, she will receive ten points.

2. If a boat crosses the start line of a race but does not finish, she will be awarded points based on the number of boats that started the race plus one. So if four boats start a race and only two finish, the two DNFs will receive five points each. And fleet boats which did not either cross the start line or attend the race in any capacity will receive points based on the number of starters plus two.

3. Season-end scores are determined by totalling a boat’s scores from its six best races of the summer. If there is a tie, scoring will include a seventh race result.
